Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-10
Summary
- We use one strictly necessary cookie to remember your privacy choices.
- We do not load analytics, advertising, or session-recording technology before you consent.
- You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent.
What we currently set
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cc_consent | First-party cookie / local storage | Stores your consent choices (categories, timestamp, policy version) so we do not ask on every page and can demonstrate your choice | 12 months | No — strictly necessary |
That is the complete list of what this site sets today.
Services that are configured but not enabled
The following are prepared in our code but switched off. They will set cookies only if you opt in, and this page will be updated before any of them is switched on.
| Category | Provider | Cookies it would set | Purpose | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Analytics | Google Analytics | _ga, _ga_* | Traffic and usage measurement | Not enabled |
| Analytics | Microsoft Clarity | _clck, _clsk | Heatmaps and session replay | Not enabled |
| Advertising | To be determined | Varies by network | Ad delivery, measurement, frequency capping | Not enabled |
We do not use third-party web fonts or third-party JavaScript/CDN resources, so no other domain receives a request from your browser while you use this site.
How to manage your choices
On this site: use Cookie settings in the footer of any page. You can accept all, reject all, or choose by category, and you can change your mind at any time. If you withdraw consent, the relevant cookies are removed and the scripts stop loading.
In your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the cc_consent cookie means we will ask about cookies on each visit.
Global Privacy Control (GPC): we treat a GPC signal from your browser as a valid opt-out for analytics and advertising.
Our commitments on consent
- Non-essential scripts do not load before you choose. Nothing is pre-ticked.
- "Accept all" and "Reject all" are given equal visual prominence.
- Closing the banner, scrolling, or continuing to browse does not count as consent.
- We will not ask you again for the same purpose for [12 months] after you refuse.
- We keep a record of your choice (category, timestamp, version of this policy) so we can show what you agreed to.
Regional notes
- EEA and Germany: storing or reading information on your device requires your consent unless it is strictly necessary. We rely on consent, not "legitimate interest", for anything non-essential. German law (§25 TDDDG, formerly §25 TTDSG) does not permit a legitimate-interest basis for device storage.
- UK: we follow UK GDPR and PECR. The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 came into force in February 2026; we review our cookie categories against it.
- California: if advertising is enabled, it may count as "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA. We will provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link and honour GPC.
Do Not Track
There is still no common industry standard for how to respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, so we do not respond to them directly. We do honour Global Privacy Control, which is a recognised opt-out signal.
Changes
We will update this page whenever the cookies or similar technologies in use change, and refresh the "Last updated" date.
